St Catherine’s High School offer a wide range of subjects and “Matriculation subject packages”. Highly dedicated and qualified teachers monitor the progress of the pupils and this together with outstanding facilities and a favorable pupil/teacher ratio promotes excellent academic achievement.

1 subject must be chosen from each of the following lines:
- Mathematics or Mathematical Literacy
- Life Sciences or Computer Applications Technology
- Accounting or Visual Arts or Geography
- Physical Sciences or Business Studies
St Catherine’s School, based in Empangeni, has 2 computer centres available for pupils. During school hours the computers in the general centre are used for research, the teaching of Computer Literacy for Junior School, and for research and project work in High School. Every afternoon the computers in the Media Centre are available to the pupils for study and research.
The pupils participate in class tours that foster personal development and provide subject enrichment. Our mission at St Catherine’s School is to provide holistic education and thus we promote self-discipline and encourage participation in the various cultural and sporting activities the school has to offer.
