During school hours the computers in the general centre are used for research and the teaching of Computer Literacy from Grades 1 to Grade 7 and for research and project work in Grade 8 to Grade 12. Every afternoon the computers in the Media Centre are available to the pupils for study, research and social networking. The social networking facilities are only available for half an hour in the afternoon providing the computers are not required for research. St Catherine’s has a dedicated internet line and 24 hour access guarded by an effective firewall and up-to-date virus protection software. All computers in the school are networked and the administrators and educators have access to their own computers.

The pupils participate in class tours that foster personal development and provide subject enrichment. The Grade 11’s attend a Leadership Camp to equip them with the necessary skills that enable them to fulfil their leadership duties in Grade 12. Our mission is to provide holistic education and thus we promote self-discipline and encourage participation in the various cultural and sporting activities the school has to offer.
